Importance of environmental medicine in naturopathy

Environmental medicine plays a significant role in naturopathic medicine. Toxins are omnipresent in our environment and severely impact our health. Toxins ingested through food and water, household toxins such as mold, as well as pollution in the workplace and the air in urban areas play a significant role.

But toxins caused by chronic exposure to pathogens, for example inflammation of the jaw or teeth, also lead to overload and inflammatory processes.

But solvents in paints, carpets and mattresses, as well as radioactive contamination, can also affect our health. Toxins that the body

The human organism is not designed for the multitude of new substances and chemical compounds to which we have been exposed since the last century. Thus, toxins that cannot be excreted via the kidneys, liver, and skin are deposited, for example, in the intercellular space or fatty tissue. If storage in the body's own depots is no longer possible, decompensation follows, sometimes with severe pathologies. Severe poisoning is often accompanied by inflammatory skin diseases, neurological disorders, and heart and vascular diseases. Immune system damaged and general well-being severely reduced.

A medical history and kinesiological muscle tests can provide information about possible sources of contamination. Further environmental medical laboratory tests or a specialist assessment of the living space may be indicated.

In order to achieve a positive balance, the motto is: “The best detox is to avoid toxins!”

I would like to point out that the naming of the listed illnesses does not constitute a promise of healing or a guarantee of relief or improvement of the listed conditions. The areas of application of naturopathy are based on the findings and experience of the therapeutic approaches themselves. There are no relevant, reliable scientific findings, i.e., evidence-based studies, that support the effect or therapeutic efficacy of naturopathy.

Some of the listed conditions require conventional medical evaluation or can be treated in a naturopathic practice alongside medical intervention. Your treating therapist will advise you whether treating your condition with naturopathic medicine alone, alongside medical intervention, or whether immediate specialist evaluation is necessary.
