Moxa therapy in Berlin: Healing through warmth and herbs

Moxa therapy

Was it Moxatherapie?

Moxibustion is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and plays a crucial role in the holistic approach to health promotion. This therapy uses mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) to generate targeted heat, which is applied either directly to the skin or over acupuncture points. This method not only promotes blood circulation and "Qi" (vital energy) in the body, but also strengthens the Immune system and supports the self-healing processes.

Indications for moxa therapy

Moxibustion therapy is used to treat a variety of ailments and is a valuable addition to a holistic therapy concept. The most common indications include:

  • Chronic pain (e.g. back, joint and neck pain)
  • Indigestion (e.g. flatulence, abdominal pain)
  • menstrual cramps (e.g. irregular or painful periods)
  • Colds and flu
  • Improving general well-being

The deep-acting warmth of moxa not only helps relieve acute symptoms, but also has a preventative effect to prevent chronic diseases.

Procedure of moxa treatment

In my Berlin practice, I begin every moxa therapy session with a thorough examination of your individual complaints and health needs. This is part of my holistic approach, which considers body, mind, and soul as a whole.

After the examination, I select specific acupuncture points to be stimulated by the moxa treatment. Whether in the form of moxa sticks or cigars, the treatment is tailored to your specific needs and promotes harmonious balance in the body.

Benefits of moxa therapy in a holistic context

Moxa therapy offers numerous advantages that are particularly relevant in a holistic therapy system:

  • pain relief : The pleasant warmth relieves tension and reduces pain.
  • Strengthen the immune system : The stimulation of the acupuncture points promotes the body's defenses (immune Qi).
  • Promoting self-healing : Moxa supports the body's natural healing processes and regeneration by improving the "Yang" state.
  • well-being : The calming effect of moxa application increases general well-being and quality of life.

Conclusion

Moxibustion is an effective method of traditional Chinese medicine and an essential part of a holistic health system.

In my Berlin practice, I combine moxibustion therapy with other TCM elements to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Let's embark on the path to better health and well-being together.
