Botanical name of lady’s mantle: Alchelmilla vulgaris / A. xanthochlora
Plant family: Rosaceae
Main botanical characteristics: Perennial, 10-30 cm tall, 7-11 lobed leaves, almost circular in outline, silvery hairy beneath, serrated edges where water is often exuded from the plant; small yellowish-green flowers, only a few millimeters in size, arranged in a cluster. Often forms seeds without fertilization.

Plant parts used: herb (Herba alchemilla)
Ingredients: Tannins, flavonoids, bitter substances
Effect: Astringent, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, wound healing, soothing.
Indications: Gynecological diseases, inflammation of the urogenital area, cystitis, heavy or irregular periods, leukorrhea, menopausal symptoms (also affects nerves), diarrhea, stomach and intestinal complaints

Form of preparation and administration:
- Infusion (2-3 times/day)
- Tincture (2-3x/day 15-20 drops),
- Washings, sitz baths (infusions)
