health and nutrition
Diet can play a major role in most illnesses. If nutritional deficiencies aren't the sole cause of health problems, any health condition can be positively influenced with an individually tailored diet.
Our intestine plays a role in the proper functioning of the various systems in our organism. The intestine contains a large part of our Immune system, and has to decide every day which substances are allowed into or excreted from our body.
Disorders of the digestive tract weaken the immune system and result in a weakened immune system, susceptibility to infections, allergies, and a tendency to fungal infections. Increased permeability of the intestinal mucosa (leaky gut syndrome), whereby insufficiently broken down proteins can enter the bloodstream, triggering allergic overreactions (immune complex allergy type 3).
Food intolerances and digestive disorders are often associated with inflammatory processes in the musculoskeletal system or skin diseases.
Modern nutritional counseling is free from dogmatic ideas and is individually tailored to each person. The first step is a detailed medical history, nutritional analysis and further naturopathic diagnostic procedures, such as Kinesiology If necessary, blood tests can be performed. Blood tests are most commonly used to identify allergens in the context of a type 3 allergy.
intolerances
In addition to the exclusion of food intolerances such as lactose intolerance (milk sugar), fructose intolerance (fruit sugar), histamine intolerance and purine intolerance (gout), Diagnostics Allergies such as IGG-mediated type 3 allergies (delayed-onset allergies) and IGE-mediated type 1 allergies (immediate allergies) are often useful. Allergies to heavy metals contained in food or drinking water and various additives (pseudo-allergies) from the conventional food industry are also not uncommon.
Healthy eating?
In addition, it is important to ensure adequate intake of vitamins, minerals (salts), and trace elements, as well as the correct ratio of carbohydrates, proteins, and high-quality fats. The body's acid/base balance plays an important role here. Disturbances in the acid-base balance cause increased muscle pain and inflammation of tissue and joints in orthopedic diseases. If the body is over-acidified, many pathologies are promoted by impaired cellular metabolism.
In addition to the medical aspects of nutritional advice, consideration of nutrition according to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (five elements of nutrition) is often helpful.
Nutrition and hygiene
I'm often asked by patients what exactly they should eat, how much of which vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients they need, in order to create a specific nutrition plan. When asked "What do you drink?" I almost always get information about the amount of fluid intake.
In my opinion, however, the quality of the food and fluids we consume every day is much more important than counting minerals, vitamins, calories and fluid intake.
That’s why drinking high-quality spring water makes sense.
The consumption of raw animals such as sushi (raw fish), cold-smoked salmon and raw minced meat carries a high risk of transmission of parasites such as worms (e.g. fish tapeworm), leeches and trichinella.
But the consumption of poorly washed vegetables, fruit and berries can also lead to the transmission of various bacteria and viruses.
Studies have shown that inadequately maintained coffee machines have extreme bacterial contamination, which also applies to old sponges and kitchen towels.
Washing your hands thoroughly before eating and cooking should be as much a matter of course as general kitchen hygiene.

I would like to point out that the naming of the listed illnesses does not constitute a promise of healing or a guarantee of relief or improvement of the listed conditions. The areas of application of naturopathy are based on the findings and experience of the therapeutic approaches themselves. There are no relevant, reliable scientific findings, i.e., evidence-based studies, that support the effect or therapeutic efficacy of naturopathy.
Some of the listed conditions require conventional medical evaluation or can be treated in a naturopathic practice alongside medical intervention. Your treating therapist will advise you whether treating your condition with naturopathic medicine alone, alongside medical intervention, or whether immediate specialist evaluation is necessary.
